American football player Michael Sam has reportedly become engaged to his boyfriend Vito Cammisano.
The 25-year-old made history by becoming the first openly gay player to be drafted into the NFL last year, but is currently a free agent.
According to TMZ, Sam 'liked' an Instagram post from Cammisano's friend revealing that the couple, who met as students at the University of Missouri, are engaged.
Reports have claimed that the proposal occurred during a recent trip to Europe, when the couple visited Spain and Italy.
