Presenter Colin Murray is poised to leave BBC Radio Five Live for a position on rival radio station talkSPORT.
The 36-year-old will present a weekday sports show from August after deciding to turn down a new contract from Five Live.
"I'm truly excited about creating this programme, and I hope it will become the morning 'go to' for UK sports fans," BBC News quotes Murray as saying.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed working on my Five Live shows and with the BBC team and look forward to continuing my relationship with BBC Sport TV and 6 Music."
The move has come one month after the BBC were forced to apologise following an installment of Murray's live show Fighting Talk, which discussed how they would be able to 'cure' Clare Balding's homosexuality.
