Norwich City defender Sebastien Bassong is reportedly fined £1,000 for having a police-style baton in his car.

Norwich City defender Sebastien Bassong has reportedly been fined for holding a police-style baton in his car.

The 26-year-old is believed to have been hit with a £1,000 fine after the baton was found in his vehicle.

Police are thought to have stopped the defender while he was driving near London's King Cross and found the baton in the pocket of his car door, according to The Sun.

The fine was reportedly decided at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court.
