Fans of Paris Saint-Germain star David Beckham took to Twitter to criticise Rebecca Loos for speaking about the pair's alleged affair during a TV interview.

The 35-year-old, who worked as Beckham's personal assistant during his stint at Real Madrid, told ITV morning show Daybreak last week that she 'regrets' the way that she sold the story in 2004.

While admitting that she could have handled the situation better, Spanish-born Loos stood by her original claims that she had a four-month fling with the ex-England captain.

Loos received a tirade of abuse on the social network site, with the Daily Star quoting one user as saying: "Get off my tv Rebecca Loos you homewrecking tramp! I hope someone sleeps with your husband!"

Loos has two young sons with her partner.
