Former Rangers player Stephen Hughes has received a 15-month ban from driving after smashing into a pedestrian railing while under the influence of alcohol.
The 32-year-old, who previously played for Leicester City and Norwich City, was found to be five times over the drunk-drive limit.
Hughes, who was charged with drink-driving and careless driving near his home, recently appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
According to the Daily Record, Hughes, who gave his address as a tower block in Motherwell, was banned and ordered to pay a £700 fine, which is allowed to be paid at £10 a fortnight.
The Scotland international, who is without a club since failing to earn a permanent deal at Ladbrokes League Two side Clyde, played more than 60 times for Rangers.
