Barcelona defender Gerard Pique was beaten in a heated FIFA 13 battle by the 2012 FIFA Interactive World Cup winner Alfonso Ramos on Tuesday.
Alfonso picked up the accolade by beating former champion Bruce Grannec and was therefore invited to attend the FIFA Ballon d'Or as the world champion.
He faced one of his idols at the event when he pitted his Real Madrid side against Pique's Barcelona outfit, emerging as a 3-1 winner courtesy of two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo.
Alfonso told reporters: "Winning the FIWC and getting the chance to attend the FIFA Ballon d'Or really is a dream come true.
"For any football fan this is without question one of the greatest experiences you can have. Meeting my heroes an getting the chance to play FIFA 13 against Pique is something I will never forget."
The FIWC 2013 sees players compete against each other in order to qualify for the Grand Final in Madrid.
