Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale has celebrated scoring his first ever Premier League hattrick by placing the match ball on top of his Christmas tree at home.
The Welshman netted three of his side's four goals during their comprehensive win over Aston Villa on Boxing Day.
"Given the time of year, thought I'd give this pride of place...," he tweeted on Wednesday evening, accompanying his tweet with this very festive image.

Bale is currently the sixth-highest scorer in the top flight this season, having found the net nine times in 16 appearances.
