Stoke City striker Peter Crouch has admitted that he has been teasing retired footballer Wayne Bridge about the Strictly Come Dancing relationship curse now that his wife Frankie is a contestant in the series.

Throughout the years, a number of relationship breakdowns have occurred among the celebrity contestants following the BBC reality show.

Last year, Crouch's wife Abbey took home the glitter ball prize by winning the show, and now the sportsman has begun joking with Bridge that his marriage to the Saturdays singer could be in trouble.

"I've been texting Wayne and giving him some stick about it," Crouch told The Mirror. "I've been watching the show and Frankie's doing really well."

Bridge's other half is one of the favourites to win the show.
