Stoke City striker Michael Owen discovered that his car had been hit with eggs and flour before appearing in his club's final home game of the season.
The 33-year-old, who will retire at the end of the campaign, began making a list of his teammates as possible culprits for the prank when he posted a photo of his car on Twitter.
The former Newcastle United forward wrote: "It's a long week lads. Revenge is in the air! Chief suspects: Whitehead and Whelan. Hutch is a possible too."
"Walters is a possible. Others who can't be ruled out: Crouch, Etherington."
Owen will hang up his boots after this weekend following stints at Liverpool, Real Madrid, Newcastle, Manchester United and Stoke.
