Commonwealth gold medallist Chris Mears has revealed that he is releasing a single next month in Mexico as he continues to build on his career as a DJ.
The 21-year-old British diver, who won gold in the synchronised 3m springboard final alongside Jack Laugher last month, is currently doing gigs in Mexico.
The Leeds-based sportsman has been working on his own material for some time after getting involved in music while recovering from glandular fever as a teenager.
"I had a serious illness when I was 16, 17 and I got a Mac [computer] and then started messing around on music-making software," Mears told Sports Mole.
"My cousin is quite renowned in the writing and producing world so he showed me the ropes and then I took my own direction with it, and here I am! I really enjoy the music that I play and the music that I make, and that's the main thing. "
