Francesca Jones has been selected to be the flag bearer for Team Wales at the opening ceremony of the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
The 23-year-old rhythmic gymnast, who is competing in her third Games in Glasgow, will lead out her nation in tomorrow night's curtain raiser.
Team Wales Chef de Mission Brian Davies said: "We are delighted to announce Frankie Jones as our Team Wales flag bearer for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
"Frankie is a perfect choice having won a silver medal in Delhi, competed at the London 2012 Olympic Games and now aiming for another medal in Glasgow.
"There is no doubt the whole sport in Wales has grown off the back of her personal success and without her we would not have had such a thriving gymnastics team here in Glasgow. She is also a superb role model and we wish her all the best for the Games."
Jones will retire after the 2014 Glasgow Games.
