Bookmakers Coral to sponsor Wigan Warriors

Bookmaker Coral is to become the new shirt sponsor for Super League side Wigan Warriors for the 2015 season.

Wigan Warriors have announced that bookmakers Coral will be their shirt sponsor for the 2015 Super League season.

The betting firm, who are providing sponsorship to a rugby league side for the first time, will replace Houses for Homes on the club's home and away shirts.

Wigan's sales director Geoff Warburton told reporters: "We are ecstatic to be welcoming such a distinguished company as Coral into the Wigan club and the sport of rugby league.

"As a forward-thinking company, Coral have adapted to the online betting market exceptionally well and are exactly the kind of organisation that will help drive the brand of Wigan Rugby League forward."

Coral's interactive marketing director Matt Prevost added: "This is Coral's first sponsorship venture into rugby league, so we are delighted to be partnering with the most successful Rugby League club in Britain."

Wigan won their third Super League title in 2013, and were runners-up in the Grand Final earlier this year.
