Yeovil Town to hold auditions for girl band

Yeovil Town will hold auditions for a girl band which will perform at all home games throughout the 2013-14 season.

Championship side Yeovil Town have embarked on a unique adventure to attract fans to Huish Park, as they will hold auditions for a girl band to perform at home games throughout the 2013-14 season.

The Glovers will become the first Football League team to have an affiliated girl band, which will be based on the Pussycat Dolls.

Yeovil spokesman Adrian Hopper told The Guardian: "Yeovil Town are delighted to get involved in this new innovative project. We feel sure the unique chance to have a girl band linking with us as a club will not only launch the group but also help to spread the word of Yeovil Town Football Club to a whole new section of the community, whilst at the same time helping charity from sales of the record."

All the proceeds from the band's first single will go towards Prostate Cancer UK.
