Big Buck's wins World Hurdle

Big Buck's takes the World Hurdle for the fourth time at the Cheltenham Festival.

Big Buck's has made history by winning the World Hurdle for the fourth time at the Cheltenham Festival.

The 5-6 odds-on winner snatched the victory in the three-mile race, with Voler La Vedette close in second and Smad Place finishing in third.

In the early stages of the race, Mourad, Five Dream and Big Buck's led the line with Five Dream and Cross Kennon towing the field on the downhill run.

The duo continued to lead with six left to jump in the highly-anticipated race, but it wasn't long before Ruby Walsh led his horse to the front at the third last with two left to jump.

Voler La Vedette pushed up alongside Big Buck's but the favourite managed to hammer home and win the World Hurdle for the fourth time.
