The trainer-jockey partnership of Paul Nicholls and Sam Twiston-Davies made it two wins in a row at the Cheltenham Festival this afternoon as Dodging Bullets took the Queen Mother Champion Chase.
All the talk heading into the race centred around two former winners Sire De Grugy and Sprinter Sacre and whether they could record a second triumph.
However, neither was ever genuinely in contention as both finished way down the field.
Up the front, Dodging Bullets took control down the home straight and finished strongly, with Somersby in second and Special Tiara third.
"It was a great bit of training by the boss. What a horse. He didn't miss a beat apart from the second from last when he was almost going too well," Twiston-Davies told Channel 4.
Nicholls added: "I should have been favourite on form, I couldn't see why the other two were in front of him in the market."
Nicholls and Twiston-Davies also won the previous race at the Gloucestershire course courtesy of Aux Pitts Soins.
