The British Horseracing Authority have announced that former Godolphin trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni has withdrawn his appeal against an eight-year ban.
The 37-year-old had his licence revoked last month following an investigation, which revealed that 15 of his 45 horses tested positive for anabolic steroids.
While Al Zarooni had originally lodged an appeal against the ban, the governing racing body have announced via their Twitter page that they have received notice from the trainer's solicitors that he will accept the disqualification.
The 15 horses in question were banned from competing for six months following the investigation.
