Jump jockey Campbell Gillies has passed away in an accident suffered during a holiday in Greece.
The up and coming National Hunt jockey, who rode over 50 winners, including Brindisi Breeze, traveled to Kavos, Greece on Monday, where he tragically lost his life.
Gillies's most memorable moment of this year was at the Cheltenhem Festival, where he rode Brindisi Breeze to victory in the Grade 1 Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle.
The promising jockey rode 38 winners throughout the 2011-12 campaign, clinching four this season so far.
