Tony McCoy was one of nine jockeys to have been suspended after the Betfair Supports Spinal Research Handicap Hurdle at Wetherby was declared a void race earlier today.
A yellow flag, which calls for a race to be halted immediatley, was waved by a course official after Ashburton Lad was pulled up on the flat along the first circuit, having broken a leg.
However, most of the jockeys continued to race, with Brian Hughes claiming the victory aboard Cunning Clarets.
The offending nine riders - McCoy, Hughes, Graham Lee, Danny Cook, Denis O'Regan, Alex Voy, Jonathon Bewley, Paddy Brennan and Brian Toomey - were handed ten-day bans for failing to stop after seeing a yellow flag.
The majority of bookmakers are still paying out on the result.
