Castleford Tigers have announced that winger Justin Carney has been suspended by the club with immediate effect.
The Super League outfit, who are currently fifth in the table, confirmed the news on their official website, but refrained from providing details behind the punishment.
A statement read: "Castleford Tigers RLFC can confirm that Justin Carney has been suspended from the club with immediate effect, whilst an internal investigation is undertaken. Castleford Tigers will not be making any further comment at this time."
The 27-year-old Australian has been playing for Castleford since 2013.
