Paul Anderson calls for Huddersfield Giants to exact revenge on Salford

Huddersfield Giants coach Paul Anderson urges his side to exact revenge on Salford Red Devils for a number of "cheap shots" they dished out in the reverse fixture.

Huddersfield Giants coach Paul Anderson has encouraged his players to exact revenge on Salford Red Devils when the two sides meet this Friday following a contentious clash earlier in the season.

Giants forward Brett Ferres was ruled out for three months with an ankle injury following an illegal tackle by Salford's Rangi Chase when the two sides met on Good Friday, with Chase receiving a seven-match ban as a result of the incident.

Salford went on to win the match 18-12 at the John Smith's Stadium, and Anderson has not forgotten the "cheap shots" dished out by the Red Devils, insisting that his side still "owe them one".

"We owe them one - it's as simple as that. I've still got an international forward not playing because of some of the cheap shots they did that night," he told reporters.

"My opinion over the incident hasn't changed between then and now and we've got to make sure we're good physically."

Chase will not be involved in this Friday's clash as he continues to serve his suspension.
