Leroy Cudjoe scored four tries while Luke George recorded a hat-trick as the Giants went top of the Super League with an impressive victory.
Hooker Luke Robinson opened the scoring with a try just three minutes in, with Danny Brough, who was in fine form with the boot all game, adding the conversion.
The Giants ran away with the game in the first half as Cudjoe scored three tries in 12 minutes, while Scott Grix also touched down in between the centre's quickfire treble.
George crossed either side of half time before Paddy Flynn recorded Widnes's solitary try with 52nd minutes played.
Further scores from Cudjoe, George, Jason Chan, John Wardle and Greg Eden extended the Giants' winning margin as they coasted to an emphatic win over the recently-promoted Vikings.
