Huddersfield Giants have completed the signing of forward Daniel Smith from Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.
The 22-year-old has joined the Giants on a four-and-a-half-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
The deal has seen Huddersfield forward Anthony Mullally move to Wakefield on loan for the remainder of the season.
"Huddersfield approached me with Wakefield's permission and I couldn't really say no to the offer," Smith told his new club's official website. "Obviously it's a big club and I'm really looking forward to it.
"Huddersfield are a very good side. They've got a very good pack and brilliant outside backs to finish the tries off. I'm really looking forward to hopefully getting in the team and keeping my spot.
"It's great that Paul Anderson has recognised me, and with him being a prop it's going to help my game learning from him. He reckons he can make me a better player and I'll do everything I can to help me become a better player."
Smith could make his Huddersfield debut on Saturday when the team travel to Catalans Dragons in Super League.
