A first-half hat-trick of tries from Omari Caro has helped Hull Kingston Rovers to a 42-18 win over Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in their final match of the Super League season this afternoon.
Cato opened the scoring inside the opening three minutes with a quick run for the try line, while Macauley Hallett added a brace before the break as the visitors cruised into a 30-0 lead in the opening 40 minutes.
Rovers continued to dominate possession early in the second half, but Dean Collis finally got the home side off the mark after 56 minutes.
Chris Riley forced his way over 10 minutes later, followed by Andy Raleigh, as Wakefield tried to launch a late comeback, but they were unable to reduce Hull's lead further.
The result ensures that Rovers finish above their city rivals in the table, while Wildcats end the season 12th.
