Leeds Rhinos winger Ryan Hall ruled out for one month with fractured hand

Leeds Rhinos winger Ryan Hall is ruled out for one month with a fractured hand, but escapes a four-month layoff as surgery is not required.

Leeds Rhinos have confirmed that winger Ryan Hall is expected to spend the next four weeks on the sidelines with a fractured hand.

Hall has escaped a four-month injury layoff after scans confirmed that the 27-year-old does not require surgery.

Head coach Brian McDermott told the club's official website: "It is a massive shame for Ryan and a big blow to us, but we have dealt with and handled injuries well in the past and I am sure this will only serve to provide an opening for another of our hungry and keen academy products that have a huge desire to play for Leeds Rhinos first team.

"Ryan will be out for four weeks. That is not enough time to get unfit but long enough to lose his sharpness if we don't manage that time well. He will keep fit and strong under the supervision of Jason Davidson and I am sure this will be beneficial to Ryan in the long run given he did not have as long a pre-season as the rest of the group because of his commitments with England."

Hall has scored five tries in nine games.
