England half-back Rangi Chase has finalised a move to Leigh Centurions.
The 29-year-old has been without a club since September when he was released by the Salford Red Devils following a "disciplinary procedure".
Speaking to Sky Sports News earlier today, the 2011 Man of Steel revealed that he turned down numerous offers, including some from rugby union, to sign for the Championship outfit.
"They are a good club and on the way up. We played them last year. It's all about falling in love with the game again. The last few years have been hard for me in rugby," he said.
"I had options to play in other places, like rugby union. But the club fits me and I haven't really been enjoying my rugby. I like the brand of rugby they play and I think I'll fit right in and I'm looking forward to it."
Chase, who has agreed a two-year contract at the Leigh Sports Village, scored 15 tries during his 42 outings for Salford.
