Andre Savelio has signed a new deal at St Helens to keep him in place at the Super League side until 2017.
The 20-year-old academy product has managed to break through the ranks this term by making 15 appearances for the Saints.
Upon agreeing fresh terms Savelio, who made a switch to Langtree Park from Latchford Albion at the age of 14, has already targeted silverware later this year.
"I'm happy to agree a deal," he told the club's official website. "I love playing with the group of lads we have at Saints and I am very grateful for the opportunity. I've had to work hard this year because I missed pre-season in 2014 because I was unwell.
"I had a lot of catching up to do but it has been good. I'm happy with how it has gone so far and I am grateful that Keiron [Cunningham] has given me the chance to play a number of first team games. Hopefully, we can win something again and do better than last season.
"I'd like us to retain the League Leaders' Shield, go to Old Trafford once more and get to Wembley. We all know we have to work hard to make that happen. I just want to keep on playing, training and repay the faith the coach has in me."
Savelio has scored two tries in his 21 appearances for the Saints.
