Warrington Wolves half-back Lee Briers pens a contract extension with the club for next season.

Warrington Wolves half-back Lee Briers has signed a new deal with the club for next season.

The veteran Welshman recently suggested that he was considering his future with the Super League side.

"I am really over the moon to have signed an extra year at Warrington," Briers told the club's official website.

"After a horrible start to the season with a neck injury, I am delighted that the club has given me this opportunity to finish my career here and also further my career in youth development coaching.

"Even though I had offers from other clubs, there was only one place I was going to sign. The fans here are second to none."

Briers, who is Warrington's record points scorer, joined the club from St Helens in 1997.
