The Widnes Vikings get the better of the Salford Red Devils in an 11-try Super League contest at the Etihad on Magic Weekend.

The Widnes Vikings got the better of the Salford Red Devils in an 11-try Super League contest at the Etihad this afternoon.

The lead changed hands on a number of occasions before a late Paddy Flynn try, his second of the game, sealed victory for the Vikings.

Jack Owens, Chris Dean, Lloyd White and Rhys Hanbury scored the other tries for the Vikings, while Junior Sa'u, Rangi Chase, Matty Ashurst, Danny Williams and Francis Meli went over for the Red Devils.

The Vikings are now fifth in the table, with Salford 11th.
