Wigan Warriors coach Shaun Wane has branded his side's 42-14 defeat at the hands of the Castleford Tigers as the 'worst of his career'.
A brace from Justin Carney and a try from James Clare gave Castleford their first win of the season at the expense of last year's Grand Final runners-up.
"t was just not good enough, at all. They wanted it more than us. I've never coached a team that have been beaten in every department like that," Wane told reporters.
"We were beaten by the better team - they wanted it more, ran harder and beat us in every department, which is very upsetting for me, devastating for me. It'll be a tough week; I wish we were playing Hull FC tomorrow. It's the worst day of my coaching career, by far."
Wigan have the chance to bounce back when they face Hull FC at the DW Stadium on Friday.
