Wigan Warriors star Lee Mossop eyes "fairytale ending"

Lee Mossop says that he is relishing the opportunity to end his time at Wigan Warriors with a Super League Grand Final medal.

Wigan Warriors prop Lee Mossop has said that it would be a "fairytale ending" to his time at the DW Stadium should the Cherry & Whites win next week's Super League Grand Final against Warrington Wolves.

The 24-year-old, who joined the club from Huddersfield Giants in 2008, is heading to the NRL next season to play for Parramatta Eels.

"It would be a fairytale ending to do the double with my best mates and leave Wigan on the back of two finals wins," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying.

"I don't want to get too far ahead and jinx myself but I can't help stop thinking how good a send-off that would be.

"We know how hard that's going to be but, if we can complete our sets a bit better and defend anything like we did against Leeds, we will give ourselves a great chance."

Wigan defeated Leeds Rhinos 22-12 in Friday's semi-final.
