Wigan Warriors have loaned duo James Greenwood and Oliver Gildart to Salford Red Devils on one-month deals.
Salford coach Iestyn Harris recently claimed that he was without 14 players due to injuries and suspensions.
Greenwood, 23, has made just one senior appearance for Wigan, while 18-year-old Gildart is yet to play in Super League.
"We have had to be active quickly in bringing new faces in this week in light of Iestyn's selection problems," Red Devils chief executive Martin Vickers is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"The arrival of highly-rated youngsters like these will help us through this sticky patch and benefit us greatly before we start to get some of our regular faces back on the field."
Salford are currently in fourth place in the Super League table thanks to three wins from their last four games.
