Mike Ford: 'Bath Rugby will not change attacking approach'

Mike Ford insists that Bath will not change their attacking brand of rugby in the closing weeks of the season, claiming that it could take them all the way to the title.

Bath Rugby head coach Mike Ford has vowed to stick with the attacking style adopted by his side for the remainder of the Aviva Premiership season.

Four second-half tries against London Irish on Friday night, combined with Leroy Houston's first-half opener, helped Bath on their way to an impressive 43-18 win at the Recreation Ground.

Having seen his side overturn the one-point deficit they faced at the break to keep up the pressure on leaders Northampton Saints, Ford insists that their high-paced game is here to stay.

"We're not going to change what we've done all year," he is quoted as saying by the Bath Chronicle. "The bigger games - we won't tighten up. We won't start playing a kick-chase game.

"We'll carry on training and playing the way we've done all year because that's the way that suits us and the that's way we believe is best for Bath Rugby."

Bath face Harlequins and Gloucester Rugby in their final two league games of the regular season.
