A solid second-half performance has helped Bath Rugby to a 26-10 win over Newport Gwent Dragons in the Amlin Challenge Cup.
There was nothing between the two sides in the first half, as tries from Rich Lane and Toby Faletau, as well as a penalty a piece, saw the scores level at 10-10 at the break.
Tom Heathcote made a strong start to the second half with the boot for the hosts, kicking three penalties in the opening 15 minutes to open up a nine-point lead.
Mathew Gilbert sealed the win late on with Bath's second try of the match, before the team kept possession for the majority of the final five minutes to stop their opponents from scoring in the second period.
The result leaves Bath at the top of pool two with wins from both of their games so far this season, while Newport sit second.
