Sam Burgess's return to rugby league could be back on after reports emerged that the England international has been in talks over a return to South Sydney Rabbitohs.
The 26-year-old played for South Sydney between 2010 and 2014 before switching to rugby union club Bath 19 months ago.
He made his first appearance for England's rugby union team at the Rugby World Cup and was a controversial selection in Stuart Lancaster's squad.
The Press Association has reported that Burgess will meet with National Rugby League head of strategy Shane Richardson this week, just three days after head coach Mike Ford said that the player would stay at Bath.
