Fly-half Piers Francis has been added to Edinburgh's Heineken Cup squad for Saturday's round-three clash against Racing Metro.
The 22-year-old is expected to start for the key encounter at the Stade Yves du Manoir after recovering from a knee injury that has kept him out of action since he joined the club last month.
However, Ross Rennie will not be available for the match after suffering a dislocated shoulder in Scotland's opening Test match against New Zealand on November 11.
Francis joined Edinburgh from New Zealand side Chiefs in 2009.
