Fly-half George Ford to start for England against Australia

England head coach Stuart Lancaster reveals that fly-half George Ford will start against Australia.

England head coach Stuart Lancaster has revealed that George Ford is due start at fly-half against Australia on Saturday.

The Bath back impressed on his first start for his country last weekend in their 28-9 win over Samoa.

While admitting that Australia will provide a different challenge for the 21-year-old this weekend, Lancaster believes that Ford has earned a place in the side for the clash at Twickenham Stadium.

"It was the right game to bring him in – Australia is another step up. He probably deserves to keep the shirt," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

Ford, who left Leicester Tigers for Bath at the end of last season, has made a total of three appearances for England.
