Eddie Jones is reportedly in talks with the Rugby Football Union about becoming the new England head coach.
The RFU has been looking for an appointment since parting company with Stuart Lancaster last week.
The Red Rose made coaching changes after the team failed to progress past the pool stages at the World Cup on UK soil.
Just last week, Jones, who only recently signed a three-year contract with South African Super Rugby club The Stormers, claimed that he had not been in contact with the RFU.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Jones is edging closer to taking over as England head coach.
The Tasmanian-born former Japan boss would represent England's first overseas coach.
