England rugby coach Staurt Lancaster frustrated and proud with New Zealand loss

England head coach Stuart Lancaster says that he is both frustrated and proud with today's eight-point loss to New Zealand.

England head coach Stuart Lancaster has said that he is both frustrated and proud after today's Test defeat to New Zealand.

The All Blacks avenged last year's failure at Twickenham, their only loss since the 2011 Rugby World Cup, with a 30-22 victory this afternoon.

Two quick tries from Julian Savea and Kieran Read gave the visitors a 14-point advantage but England cut that to four at half time before taking a lead that was soon eradicated by a second Savea score.

"To have come back from 17-3 down to be leading 22-20 and then not being able to close out the game. Ultimately, we're frustrated but a lot of pride with the performance," Lancaster told Sky Sports News after the match.

New Zealand now have the chance to win all 14 games of 2013 if they see off Ireland next week in Dublin.
