South Africa ease past France

South Africa beat France 19-10 in Paris in the Autumn Internationals.

South Africa have got the better of France 19-10 at Stade de France in Paris in the Autumn Internationals.

The Springboks were in control of the contest right from the start and eased to their first win on French soil in 16 years.

The South Africans were 13-7 ahead at half time thanks to an early try from JP Pietersen, although the hosts gave themselves a chance with a try of their own through Yoann Huget just before the break.

Both sides took time to ease into the second half, with the first points of the period coming around the hour mark.

Morne Steyn scored his third penalty of the match to put the visitors 16-7 ahead and although Jean-Marc Doussain made it 16-10, a late Pat Lambie penalty put the result beyond doubt.
