Shane Williams admits that his Heineken Cup dreams are 'slipping away' after Ospreys' latest defeat to Saracens.

Shane Williams has admitted that his Heineken Cup dreams are 'slipping away' after the Ospreys suffered back-to-back defeats to Saracens.

The PRO12 side are currently third in Pool 5 of the European competition, four points off second-placed Biarritz and six off leaders Saracens.

The recently-retired Wales winger says that though not impossible, Ospreys progressing to the knockout stages is increasingly unlikely.

"It's starting to slip away this season now by the looks of it," the 34-year-old said.

"But we've got to keep optimistic. We're not completely out of it yet, but it's going to be a tough ask.

"The last two weeks we haven't played our best rugby. Maybe the pressure got to us a little bit, I don't know."

Ospreys host last-place Treviso in January before travelling to Biarritz for their last game a week later.
