Wesley Fofana ran in two tries as French side Clermont Auvergne defeated Leicester Tigers in the Heineken Cup.
Three penalties during the opening 40 minutes from Morgan Parra put the home side in command, a lead which was further stretched when Julien Malzieu scored the first try of the match.
Parra made the resultant conversion, while Leicester's only score of the half came courtesy of a try from Ben Youngs.
Fofana claimed his tries in the 52nd and 66th minute, both of which were converted by Parra.
The visiting Tigers ended the match in the ascendancy and reduced the arrears when Toby Flood scored a penalty-try.
