Heavy rain at Welford Road resulted in a number of handling errors early in the game, while Mat Berquist failed to convert a penalty from inside his own half.

Toby Flood was able to master the conditions to give the Tigers a six-point lead, before a try from Thomas Waldrom left the home side in a commanding position at half time.

Tobias Botes got Treviso on the board early in the second half, but Leicester continued to dominate play, adding further scores through Tom Youngs and Blaine Scully.

Despite bringing on numerous replacements, Leicester continued to dominate, resulting in an 80th-minute try for Adam Thompstone to round off an easy evening for the English champions.
