Anthony Allen "overwhelmed" by Leicester Tigers triumph

Leicester Tigers centre Anthony Allen admits that he is "overwhelmed" by Saturday's Aviva Premiership final triumph over Northampton Saints.

Leicester Tigers centre Anthony Allen has admitted that he is "overwhelmed" by his side's Aviva Premiership final triumph over Northampton Saints.

The Tigers bounced back from defeats in the last two finals as they ran out 37-17 winners at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday.

"I'm overwhelmed," Allen is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "It was a fantastic effort and really tough at times when we were under the cosh but the boys thoroughly deserved the win. We're champions and I'm just so proud."

Leicester were last crowned champions of England in 2010.
