Elliot Daly struck a late penalty to snatch struggling London Wasps a crucial 26-24 win over mid-table Gloucester at Adams Park this afternoon.
A second-minute Nick Robinson penalty opened the scoring for Wasps, who increased their early advantage courtesy of a converted Nic Berry try.
The game was level on 30 minutes after Freddie Burns successfully converted Scott Lawson's effort to add to his 13th-minute kick.
Two more Robinson penalties either side of half-time saw the hosts move back into the lead and they extended it further when Hugo Southwell crossed to score on 49 minutes.
However Charlie Sharples touched down soon after for Gloucester to reduce the deficit and then Akapusi Qera scored the visitor's third try of the afternoon to edge them in front.
Just when it seemed Wasps were going to fall to a 14th defeat of the season, Elliot Daly held his nerve to kick an 80th-minute penalty and snatch them victory.
With the result, Wasps move eight points clear of Newcastle Falcons at the bottom of the Aviva Premiership while Gloucester remain in sixth.
