Scrum-half Peter Stringer has finalised his move to Aviva Premiership strugglers Newcastle Falcons.
The 34-year-old revealed last months that he was close to joining the Falcons, only for his transfer from Saracens to be held up because of an administrative delay.
However, following a week of discussions, Stringers has now penned a contract at Kingston Park.
"It's great to get it sorted out," Stringer told BBC Newcastle.
"It had been talked about for a few weeks so it's nice to know where I stand. I can't wait to meet the boys."
Stringer has made 98 appearances for the Irish national team.
