Teimana Harrison to make England debut in Wales clash

Teimana Harrison is one of four uncapped players to be selected by Eddie Jones for England's Test meeting with Wales at Twickenham.

Northampton Saints flanker Teimana Harrison has been named in England's starting lineup to face Wales at Twickenham on Sunday afternoon.

The New Zealand-born youngster, who is one of four uncapped players named by Eddie Jones in the 23-man squad, will feature at No.6 from the off.

Tommy Taylor, Ellis Genge and Ollie Devoto are the other Red Rose rookies to be selected, as England look to build on their recent Grand Slam success.

Players from Aviva Premiership finalists Saracens and Exeter Chiefs are not included in the squad, while Chris Robshaw is given a rest ahead of the summer tour of Australia, meaning a chance for other up-and-coming players to impress Jones.

"Harrison is a very good ball carrier," the ex-Japan head coach told BBC Sport. "He's got a nice rugby sense, he's a good, low tackler and I think he can add some depth to our back row. He's been absolutely sensational for Northampton since Christmas."

Harrison arrived at Saints five years ago and qualifies for England through his father.

England side to face Wales: Mike Brown, Anthony Watson, Jonathan Joseph, Luther Burrell, Marland Yarde, George Ford, Ben Youngs; Matt Mullan, Dylan Hartley, Dan Cole; Joe Launchbury, Courtney Lawes; Teimana Harrison, James Haskell, Jack Clifford.

Replacements: Tommy Taylor, Ellis Genge, Paul Hill, Dave Attwood, Matt Kvesic, Danny Care, Ollie Devoto, Elliot Daly.
