Alex Waller delighted by Northampton Saints victory

Northampton Saints prop Alex Waller claims that he is "over the moon" following the team's late win against Saracens in the Aviva Premiership final.

Northampton Saints prop Alex Waller has claimed that he is "over the moon" following the team's win against Saracens in the Aviva Premiership final.

Waller scored a try in the dying moments of extra time on Saturday as the Saints earned a 24-20 victory at Twickenham Stadium.

The late drama saw Northampton win the league title for the first time in the club's history.

"Fair play to Sarries, it was probably one of the most ferocious games I've played in," Waller told BT Sport. "I'm just over the moon with the win. It's a great feeling and something the club has never done before."

Northampton reached their first ever Aviva Premiership final last season, only to be beaten by Leicester Tigers.
