Sale Sharks too strong for Worcester Warriors

Sale Sharks secure a 20-6 win over Worcester Warriors in the LV= Cup.

Sale Sharks have secured their second win of the LV= Cup campaign with a 20-6 victory over Worcester Warriors this afternoon.

Both sides struggled to find their rhythm in the early stages, with a single Joe Ford penalty separating the two teams at half time.

Ford added a second at the start of the second half before Mark Easter added the first try of the match, battering his way through the Worcester defence.

Charlie Ingall was able to put the result beyond doubt inside the final 10 minutes, collecting the ball out wide before leaping over in the corner.

The result leaves Sale level on points with Leicester Tigers at the top of their pool.
