Sale Sharks director of rugby Steve Diamond has admitted that his team 'lacked composure' during their 12-3 defeat to Bath.
The Sharks suffered their second consecutive loss in the Aviva Premiership last night as they were narrowly beaten at the Recreation Ground.
Despite crediting his players for giving Bath a stern test, Diamond believes that fatigue affected their attacking play.
"There was a lot of hard work and a great defensive effort, and not to get a bonus point is disappointing," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "We were pretty equal out there for long periods of time - we just lost a bit of composure in attack.
"We are tired. We have a small squad, so everyone plays 80 minutes. We have just come to the end of four hard games, and it showed. In attack, we were just off the pace a little bit, but the endeavour was fantastic."
Sale continue their season on March 29 when they host Gloucester Rugby in the league.
