Result: Sale Sharks 29-21 Northampton Saints

Sale Sharks beat Northampton Saints 29-21 to move up to second place in the Aviva Premiership table.

Sale Sharks overcame a half-time deficit to defeat Northampton Saints 29-21 at Edgeley Park.

Stephen Myler scored all of the visitors' points with the boot and fired them into a 12-6 lead at the break, with Nick Macleod replying for the hosts with two kicks of his own.

Two more penalties from Myler extended the Saints' advantage after the interval before tries from Mark Easter and Dwayne Peel put the Sharks in front for the first time.

Another Myler penalty got Northampton back into the match, but a David Seymour try, converted by Macleod, secured the points for the home side.

The win moves Sale up to second place in the Aviva Premiership table, while Northampton move down to tenth place.
